DAWSON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Don Wilhelm’s of Jamestown made a significant contribution to Elks Camp Grassick on Wednesday, September 22nd.

According to the camp’s Facebook page, Wilhelm’s donated a wheelchair accessible van to the camp.

“This will give us the ability to transport campers who use wheelchairs if the need arises,” the organization stated. “We can not thank them enough for this very generous donation.”

Elks Camp Grassick is a summer camp for children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities. In 1947, Camp Grassick was purchased by the North Dakota Elks and has been run as their major project since that time. Each summer, Camp Grassick serves close to 200 children and adults with special needs through 6 different camping sessions.

“Special thanks to Rod Wilhelm for donating the van and Randy Williams for thinking of us and making sure the van was in good working order,” the organization continued. “Elks Camp Grassick is so lucky to have such wonderful people who support us.”

Elks Camp Grassick is located in near Dawson, North Dakota.
