JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – A pair of first half goals from junior Jack Paulson was the difference on Tuesday evening as the Blue Jays kept Dickinson off the scoreboard in a 2-0 win.
Jamestown led from the start against the Midgets with Paulson scoring just three minutes into the match. Paulson would tally his second goal just before the halftime break in the 32nd minute for his fourth goal of the year. Both goals for Paulson were unassisted.
Sophomore goalkeeper Ryan Larson picked up his first shutout win of the season, making six saves for the Blue Jays. Jamestown moved into sole possession of fifth place in the WDA standings with a victory, getting revenge for its loss to Dickinson back on September 2nd.
Jamestown now holds a 4-8-1 overall record on the year with one more regular season match scheduled for Thursday evening at Bismarck High. With a win over Bismarck Thursday, the Blue Jays would host a WDA play-in match next Tuesday against Williston.
