JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – An outdoor community gathering with free food, music, and games to celebrate partner organizations will be held tonight to start of the Jamestown United Way annual fundraising campaign.

Jamestown United Way is a community impact organization that raises money for local community partners. It’s also an international network of over 1,800 local nonprofit fundraising affiliates. Becky Kercher is a member of the Stutsman County group.

Kercher says at this time, they’re currently seeking more board members to help them fulfil the requests of the 12 different agencies in Stutsman County that they serve.

Jamestown United Way’s Annual Fundraising Campaign is from September through January.

“This is when we collect donations from local business owners and employees,” the organization stated. “We distribute the campaign and event funds to twelve organizations, all right here in Stutsman County. We’re proud to support these partners who provide educational programs, job resources, transportation, and other important services to our community.”

The event will be held at the Hansen Arts Park tonight from 5:30 PM to 7 PM and is an opportunity for the community to learn more about their mission and how they can help their mission.
