WATFORD CITY, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The #1 ranked Jamestown High School football team hit the road on Friday night and took it to Watford City as the Blue Jays cruised past the Wolves, 41-0.

The rushing attack for Jamestown got started early in the first half as the Blue Jays rushed for 269 yards in the half while allowing just 10 total yards of offense to Watford City. Jamestown took a 34-0 lead into the halftime break and pitched its first shutout of the season defensively.

Jakob Schempp led Jamestown on the ground with 117 yards on 15 attempts for one score. Paris Ndikum carried the ball 12 times and picked up two scores and Preston Kroeber finished the night with a rushing touchdown behind three carries for 63 yards. Jamestown as a team had 323 total yards on offense, 266 came on the ground. Watford City finished with just 61 total yards on offense.

Jamestown moves to 4-0 overall on the year and wraps up the WDA Class A season with a perfect 4-0 record. The Blue Jays will be back on the road next Friday night when they travel to Fargo Shanley before hosting Valley City on October 1st for the final game at Ernie Gates Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 pm for both games.
