JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Youth hunting opportunities will take center stage beginning today in North Dakota.
The North Dakota Game & Fish Department reports that Youth Deer season is set to open today and go through next week. Game & Fish Wildlife Biologist Doug Leier residents who are 11, 12 or 13 in 2021 can hunt statewide for antlerless white-tailed deer.
After opening day, hunting hours are a half-hour before sunrise to a half-hour after sunset. Orange clothing is required for youth hunters and mentors.
Leier says if youth deer season isn’t of any interest, another opportunity for youth and military members is the waterfowl weekend September 18th & 19th.
He added that the focus should be youth when it comes to these opportunities.
