CITY (NewsDakota.com) – The Maple Valley-Enderlin football team remained at No. 4 in the latest Class A football poll released Wednesday night.
The Falcons are 5-0 this season and received 25 votes in the poll. Maple Valley is one of four undefeated teams remaining in Class A. They’re coming off a big 24-12 victory in Linton last week, which sets up a battle of Top 5 teams Friday night in Enderlin when Northern Cass comes to town.
Northern Cass is 4-1 overall and ranked No. 5 in the latest poll. Both MVE and Northern Cass are 4-0 in Region 1 play. They play Friday at 7 p.m. in Enderlin.
Oakes (4-1, 3-1 Region 1) received one vote in the Class A poll. The Tornadoes are third in the Region 1 standings.
Stanley tops the Class A poll, receiving all 13 first-place votes, followed by Heart River, Larimore, MVE and Northern Cass.
Wyndmere-Lidgerwood remains atop the latest 9-man poll with a 6-0 record. They’re followed by North Star, Divide County, New Rockford-Sheyenne and Shiloh Christian.
