Brent Scott Johnson was born on May 9, 1976 to Mervin and Valerie (Peterson) Johnson.  He grew up in Marion, ND where he was baptized and confirmed at Marion Lutheran Church.  Brent was a member of the class of 1994, the first class to graduate from the “new” Litchville-Marion High School.  Following high school, he attended North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND, studying auto body.

He enlisted in the US Army and proudly served his country.  During his time in the military, he was stationed in Kuwait.

Camping, fishing and playing pool were some of the things Brent enjoyed doing.  He was self-employed, doing all jobs dealing with home construction.  He worked hard but loved harder.  He loved his family and friends and it was hard to not love him back.  The story of Brent’s life can’t all be covered in these few lines, it may have been short, but it was full.

Brent is survived by his son, Miles George Johnson; his mother, Valerie (Carl Opdahl); his brothers, Dale (Brandy) and Charles (Tami); nephew, Carter; and niece, Madison; uncles, Gene (Ann) Peterson and Duane (Marilyn) Johnson; his girlfriend, Kayla Coleman and her daughter, Laityn; and so many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mervin and grandparents, Burnell & Eunice Peterson and Arthur & Mildred Johnson.
