JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – As the cooler months begin, the need for coats for Stutsman County kids grows.
The Salvation Army has provided assistance for those in need in many ways, one of those being their coats and winter clothing items. Salvation Army Major Judy Lowder says they’re accepting children’s coat donations year round.
Every year, Ave Maria Village teams up with the Salvation Army to bring awareness to their need.
From now until September 24th as part of the coat drive, donations can be taken to either Ave Maria Village or the Jamestown Salvation Army. Lowder says they’ll continue to accept these donations through October 11th with a planned distribution day for those who need it on October 15th.
The distribution day will run from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Salvation Army Community Center at 320 1st Avenue N.
