MOORTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Jamestown man was killed in a rollover crash in Richland County Thursday night.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that the incident happened one mile north of Mooreton, on Richland County Highway 1 just after 10 PM.
The report says the 54 year-old man was driving a 2014 GMC Sierra and was negotiating a curve when it left the roadway and entered the west ditch. The vehicle struck a field approach, vaulted and rolled. The vehicle came to rest in the west ditch.
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Also responding to the accident were the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, Mooreton Fire Department and Breckenridge Ambulance. The incident remains under investigation.
