CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Crews will dismantle the old North Valley Bridge today and Wednesday north of Valley City.
Project manager Shawn Mayfield says barges will be used to eliminate debris from reaching the Sheyenne River during the dismantling process.
Mayfield said the contractor, Industrial builders, will landscape the west side of the new bridge before completing the 2.4 million dollar project. The new bridge is 4 feet higher than the old bridge which closed in 2009 and again in 2011 due to flooding.
