FORT LAUDERDALE, FL. (NewsDakota.com) – After back-to-back trips to the semifinals of the NAIA National Tournament over the last two years, the #2 University of Jamestown women’s volleyball team is set to open its 2021 season on Wednesday at the Keiser Volleyball Invitational.
The Jimmies have a combined 63-8 overall record over the course of the last two seasons and return their two leaders in kills from last year in Anna Holen and Kalli Hegerle. Jamestown also returns both Megan Gaffaney and Jackie Meiklejohn, who contributed to 90% of the total assists the Jimmies had as a team in 2021. UJ brings back nearly everyone that made an impact on the semifinal team from last year.
Jamestown will open up its season against Spring Arbor at 7 am on Wednesday before playing Taylor University at 11 am. The Jimmies will then play two games on Thursday, one at 9 am against IU East and the other at 1 pm versus William Carey. You can watch all matches of the Keiser Volleyball Invitational HERE.
