BISMARCK, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High School boys soccer team will take the field for the first time in the 2021 season Tuesday, August 17th at Mandan after being selected to finish fifth in the conference in the WDA preseason poll.

Jamestown finished the 2020 season with a 6-10 overall record, going 5-9 during the course of WDA regular season play. The Blue Jays return starting goalkeeper Jay Kupitz for his senior season, who led Jamestown with 77 total saves last season and tallied three shutouts. Offensively, the Jays will try to replace some of the production of graduate Levi Korum who was first in goals last year with five.

Jamestown opens up its schedule with two road games before playing at home for the first time on Tuesday, August 24th against Minot. The Blue Jays will play seven home matches this season and Jamestown will host the ND State Tournament October 7-9.
