JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Those planning flights through the Jamestown Regional Airport will see a slight change to boarding times through the month of August.

Airport Director Katie Hemmer says as more and more air travel continues, those who fly through the Jamestown Regional Airport in the month of August will see some temporary changes with flight times.

Hemmer expects travel times to be restored after the month of August for connecting flights in Denver, Colorado.

The airport continues to operate under President Biden’s mask mandate for airports and air travel through the month of June. Hemmer added that everyone who has flown through the airport has been very cooperative in that regard.

As far as airport improvements, she says the airport received roughly $2.2 million through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that will be used for taxiway rehabilitation. She expects project work to begin in August.

Hemmer thanked Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer, Representative Kelly Armstrong, and the FAA for the investment in the airport.
