JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Day two of the 2021 District 4 American Legion Baseball Tournament was held at Jack Brown Stadium on Wednesday with another three games, here are the results:
Jamestown Blues 7 Kidder County 6, 8 innings
The Blues were down 4-3 heading into the top of the seventh inning and down to their last three outs, but Tyson Jorissen hit an RBI single to tie the game and Adam Sortland knocked in two to give Jamestown a 6-4 lead. KC would score two of their own in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings. In the top of the eighth, a run would score on a wild pitch to give the Blues a one run advantage and that’s is all they needed as they held Kidder County scoreless in the bottom of the eighth inning. The defending district champs go 0-2 in the tourney, losing by one run in each game and they end their season at 8-11 overall. Adam Sortland for Jamestown was 2-for-4 at the plate with two singles and two RBI. For KC, Jonah Harter was 3-for-5, with three singles and scored twice.
Carrington Post 25 5 Sheyenne-New Rockford Black Sox 4 Semifinal
