VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) As part of the Wiffle Ball World Series festivities in Valley City, the committee has decided to make the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation their charity for the 2021 tournament.
Director of Marketing, Development and Charity Relations Trevor Christiansen said we want to celebrate those businesses that have persevered through pandemic closures and also give back to a foundation that is so good to our community.
The WBWS committee added a concert to this years festivities to celebrate those small businesses and to say thanks to a community who continued to give support through a challenging year and a half. The concert will feature “Trip Wire” and will take place in the parking lot of the City Lights Supper Club on Friday, July 23rd from 8pm to 11pm. The Whiffle Ball World Series will be held on Saturday, July 24th in the back yard of the Bergan family home south of Valley City.
WBWS Board president Tommy Bergan said as a small business owner, the Bergan family wanted to give back to the community, especially to those who continued to support our businesses during all the road blocks over the last year and a half.
Bergan said the concert will be free as our way of saying thanks, and we hope to raise a little money to give back to the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation which does so much for this area.
