CARRINGTON, N.D. (NDSU Extension) – Producers and crop advisers have an opportunity to learn more about durum during a Durum Day on June 29 at North Dakota State University’s Carrington Research Extension Center (CREC).

The program will run from 9:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“The objective of the event is to provide updates on durum production, grain quality and markets for established as well as potential durum growers,” says Greg Endres, NDSU Extension cropping systems specialist at the CREC.

The CREC developed this program in cooperation with Dakota Growers Pasta/8th Ave.

The event’s agenda includes presentations by NDSU and industry representatives during field tours of research trials. The event also includes a sponsored noon lunch.

Plant nutrition
Disease management
Grain quality and impact on pasta quality
Market outlook
Pasta industry insights and impact on farmers
