VALLEY CITY (VCSUVikings.com) – A total of 26 teams and 104 golfers competed in the annual Viking Golf Scramble on Saturday to raise money for VCSU athletic scholarships.

The 18-hole fundraiser for the VCSU Century Club was played at both Bjornson Park Golf Course and the Valley City Town & Country Club. All proceeds benefit athletic scholarships for student-athletes at Valley City State University.

Two teams tied for first place with a 13-under total of 58 on Saturday. The team of Ben Jacobson, Collin Hoss, Mark Hoss and Dick Gulmon walked away with the Championship Flight title after winning the tie-breaker between the two teams at 13-under par.

Travis Ingstad, Trevor Justesen, Jared Lentz and Derrick Rogers also finished at 13-under and took second place in the Championship Flight.

The team of JoDee Haugrud, Megan Haugrud, Joel Haugrud and Wayne Little Soldier won a three-way tie atop the Viking Flight, finishing with a 4-under total of 67.
