OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Oakes Police Department, with assistance from the Dickey County Sheriff’s Office, made two drug related arrests Saturday morning.

“[We] dealt with multiple incidents involving individuals under the influence of narcotics,” the department stated in a post.

“We would like to inform the public of increased drug activity, thefts, and domestics over the past few weeks. Officers are aware of suspicious people around the Oakes area and will continue to patrol to combat the criminal activity.”

The Department added that they have many active cases and are working to ensure things are being patrolled.

“Please remember to secure your property at night and to call us about suspicious activity that you observe,” the Department added. “If you would like to send a tip anonymously please use our tip feature on our phone app. If you see something, say something. We need the publics help to ensure we continue to make this a safe community for our kids.”
