The Valley City girls’ tennis team finished up their team season at the state tournament in Grand Forks.

The Hi-Liners snuck in the state tournament after an EDC Tournament Championship appearance. Sadly, they weren’t able to win any matches yesterday. They started against the eventual champion Mandan as they fell 5-0. In the consolation semifinals, the Hi-Liners fought hard but ultimately fell to West Fargo Sheyenne 3-2.

Valley City is not done, however, as doubles play begins today with Breck Sufficool and Olivia Ingstad playing today at 10 a.m. Sufficool and Ingstad landed the #2 seed in the east and will play the #7 seed Wieland/Loerch from Mandan.
