BISMARCK, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The spectacular career of Meghan Ford in a Blue Jay uniform came to an end on Saturday as Ford won the 3200 meter title and took home the Senior Athlete of the Year Award.

With a time of 10:46.87, Ford repeated as the state champion in Class A in the 3200 meter race. Ford also took second in the 800 meter run, rounding out an illustrious career for Jamestown High School.

As a team, the Blue Jays took third in the overall standings with a score of 85. Bismarck Century finished first with 138 points, narrowly edging out Fargo Davies who scored 137.

Annie Nabwe won her second individual state title of the weekend during the shot put where she took first with a distance of 44′ 9.5″. Nabwe also finished second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.15. Yolanda Nabwe was fourth in the 100 meter dash at 12.37.

The 4×100 relay team of Alyssa Larson, Hunter Petersen, Julia Skari, and Y. Nabwe took third in the state final with a time of 50.20. Skari also finished third in the 300 meter hurdles with a personal best time of 46.23.

In the boy’s track meet, Jamestown was led by Ben Anteau who finished fourth in the 3200 meter run with a new personal best of 9:08.10. The 4×100 meter relay team of Levi Korum, Devin Beach, Preston Kroeber, and Brode Hillstrom finished seventh, recording a time of 44.42.
