Running of the Pink 2019
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 14th Annual Running of the Pink is set for this Saturday, June 5th in support of breast and cervical cancer.
This year’s event will be both virtual and in person, but organizer Tara Kapp says the cause remains the same: eliminating barriers for men and women in Stutsman County.
Kapp says the proceeds are all given to the “No Excuses” program through the Jamestown Regional Medical Center and Central Valley Health. That program was created to reduce barriers by offering flexible scheduling, transportation and financial support for needed screenings.
The run has raised more than $163,000 in the 13 years its been held.
All virtual last year, Kapp says they’re looking forward to having an in-person event this for the 14th annual run/walk. At this time, she says they have a good amount of registrations while continue to accept more.
Kapp says the virtual run will allow anyone globally to participate, with funds going to the “No Excuses” program. The live run will feature a 10K and a 5K run/walk, making it both competitive and leisurely for anyone to join. You can also sign up to make a donation.
Registration is open and can be found on stoudtcars.com.
