JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It’s a tragic event that no family should ever have to experience, but can happen to anyone.

Amber Martin, a mother of seven, experienced it firsthand when they lost their daughter Gretchyn to SIDS, or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

Martin says dealing with the hardships this brought on led her and her family to start giving back to the community. She says by doing so, they’ve been able to give back and help remember their daughter. The next plan for them is to hold a golf tournament in her memory.

Martin says Golfing “FORE” Gretchyn will take place on July 17th at Hillcrest Golf Course. She says not only will this be a tournament in her memory, but also a way for them to raise money for families that may be experiencing the same loss.

The event will also feature raffles, auctions, and donations. Martin says anyway someone wants to support the event would be welcome including volunteers, donation of silent auction items, sponsorships, direct donations, or just joining them for lunch.

You can register for the July tournament by the following ways:

Mail: 807 5th St NE or Knights of Columbus
