JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Dakota Anglers of Jamestown plan to be out in full force this summer.
Focused on the conservation of the outdoors, the Dakota Anglers will be doing several projects to help ensure better access to area waters and more.
Dakota Anglers President Dave Schmidt says to fund these projects, their group does different fundraisers to support their cause. One of these is their big 44th Annual Walleye-Northern Fishing Tournament on June 5th & 6th.
Schmidt says they also have plans to conduct their 41st Annual Little Britches Fishing Tournament to get the younger anglers involved.
Schmidt says parents, guardians, or family can bring a young one out to compete in one of four categories and weigh in single limits of walleyes, northerns, perch, and bass with prizes and a lunch to follow. At the end, the Dakota Anglers will select five young anglers to sponsor participation at the Devils Lake Fishing Camp.
