CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–Valley City State University Viking tight end Ken Eliacin (Sr., Miami, FL) captured the Association of Independent Institutions (AII) Male Athlete of the Week award this week.

Eliacin, an athletic tight end and the top pass-catcher back from last year’s Viking team, had four catches for 127 yards against Mayville State Saturday, including touchdown grabs of 67 and 52 yards.

Head coach Dennis McCulloch complimented his tight end after the game Satuday.

The AII is the current entity Viking athletic teams belong to for post-season qualification and player awards.  It is an organization of several independent teams competing at the NAIA level across the country.
