CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) It was a false alarm but it brought out the Cavalry to secure the area surrounding the Wells Fargo bank in downtown Valley City.

Police say a maintenance crew working on the Wells Fargo ATM machine accidentally set off a silent burglar alarm shortly after 2pm Tuesday afternoon. Several police officers had their weapons drawn and secured the area in case it was a real armed robbery.
