JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Blue Jay softball team pushed its win streak on Tuesday evening as Jamestown won 11-1 and 12-2 over Mandan.
Sophomore Katie Falk put on a highlight reel performance in game one for the Jays. Falk threw a complete game while also going 4-for-4 with a two-run homer, two doubles, a single, and three runs scored. She allowed just five hits to Mandan, with the first hit of the day for the Braves coming with two down in the fourth inning.
Ella Roaldson got Jamestown on the board in the first inning of game one with a three-run home run on a line shot over the left field fence. Roaldson would finish 2-for-4 with three runs driven in and two runs scored. Elizabeth Grenz picked up three RBIs of her own in a 2-for-4 performance with three runs scored. In total, Jamestown finished with 16 hits during the first game and capped off the sixth with four runs and only one error defensively during game one.
The Blue Jays sit all alone in second place in the WDA with an 11-1 conference record. Jamestown has now won 12 consecutive games and is 15-3 overall.
