DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. (jimmiepride.com)– Tate Olson (JR/Cook, Minn.) tied for sixth and the University of Jamestown men’s golf team finished sixth of 11 teams at the GPAC Championship, which concluded Tuesday at Dakota Dunes CC.

Olson shot a final round 73 to finish at 12-over 300 (74-73-80-73). Jackson Worner (SO/West Fargo, N.D.) tied for 12th at 18-over 306 (81-74-76-75).

Treyton Forsman (JR/Lewiston, Idaho) came in 19th at 27-over 315 (82-81-73-79), Hudson Roling (JR/Thermopolis, Wyo.) finished 30th at 37-over 325 (82-81-82-80), and Benjamin Schaefer (FR/New Rockford, N.D.) was 36th at 52-over 340 (92-87-76-85).

Jonny Douglas of Morningside took top honors at 2-over 290 (72-67-77-74).

The Jimmies’ score of 307 was its second-lowest of the four-round tournamen, just two shots higher than Monday’s 305. UJ finished at 88-over 1240 (319-309-305-307), two shots back of fifth-place Northwestern (Iowa) College and five shots behind fourth-place Briar Cliff (Iowa) University. Morningide was the top team at 18-over 1170 (295-291286-298) and will represent the GPAC at the NAIA Men’s Golf National Championship May 18-21 at the TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.
