Marie Hajek, 100, of LaMoure, died in the Good Samaritan Society in Oakes, North Dakota on September 7, 2012.

Anna was born to Frederic and Christine (Hess) Domine on May 22, 1912 in rural LaMoure County. She grew up and attended school in Ovid Township. Anna married Joseph Hajek on November 12, 1938. Together, they farmed and raised two children in the rural LaMoure area. In 1989 they moved to LaMoure, where they lived until 2003 when they moved to the Good Samaritan Society in Oakes. Joseph passed away in 2003.

Anna is survived by one son, Gene (Janet) Hajek, LaMoure; one daughter-in-law, Dorothy Hajek, South Windsor, CT; 5 grandchildren, Tamra (Eric) Ness, Michelle (Craig) Berry, Andy (Adrianna) Hajek, Holly (James) D’Addio, and Rebecca Hajek; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; son, Joseph Hajek; four sisters; and six brothers.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at Zoar Lutheran Church, LaMoure, followed by the funeral starting at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Rosehill Cemetery in LaMoure.
