JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department and Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office had their plates full with the Runnin O’ The Green in Jamestown on April 17th.

Jamestown Police Major Justin Blinsky reports the department responded to a total of 69 calls in a 12 hour time-span between the hours of 2 PM to 2 AM Sunday.

“Some of the calls for service were directly related to the event and some were not,” Major Blinsky added.

Below are the calls for service and added description by Major Blinsky.

16 unlawful possession of alcoholic beverages
(having/consuming alcohol outside of licensed liquor establishments)

13 Traffic Stops (wide range of infractions and some B Misdemeanor violations)

5 Aided Cases (calls which require police assistance, but do not have a criminal component)

5 foot patrol (calls where officers are walking through establishments/areas to be visible and act as a deterrent)

4 Drunkenness
(calls dealing with intoxicated individuals who are not capable of caring for themselves due to their intoxication levels)

3 Disorderly Conduct

3 Local Ordinance violations

3 suspicious activity
(calls where individuals are in areas or doing some activity which may be directly related to criminal activity)

1 Disturbance Call (caller was annoyed by the noise created by the individuals on the run and made a comment about having a firearm and “taking care of things”)
