FARGO, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Seniors Grace Hegerle and Ella Roaldson of Jamestown volleyball were named to the 2021 NDHSCA-Optimists All-Star team to represent the West in Fargo on June 14th and 15th.

Hegerle and Roaldson led the Blue Jays to a 17-7 overall record on the year and a fourth place finish in the state tournament for the 2020 season. Hegerle, who will play at UJ next season, finished the year first in kills (12.2) and digs (12.3) per set for the Blue Jays. Roaldson was second in kills (10.9/set) and led the Jays in blocks (1.5/set) for the year, and she will play collegiate volleyball at Valley City State.

The 2021 NDHSCA-Optimists All Star Volleyball series will be held June 14th and 15th beginning with the players reporting on June 11th in Fargo. Practices will be held at West Fargo High School Friday-Monday. The East Match will be at West Fargo high School on Monday, June 14 starting at 7:00 pm.  The West Match will be on Tuesday, June 15 at Bismarck Century High School at 7:00 pm.
