(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes High School Football team continues their season with their first road game of 2012 in Fargo against Fargo Oak Grove on Friday night.

The Tornadoes are 2-0, and ranked #3 in the state in Class A Football in the latest poll from the North Dakota Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. Oakes has victories over Britton-Hecla, South Dakota and Linton-HMB. Oakes head coach Greg Dobitz says despite the notion that his group are heavy favorites Friday night, the Grovers do posses a unique set of skills that the team isn’t all that familiar with.

The Grovers struggles in Class A ball continue, and second year coach Bobby Bauer sees his squad at 0-2, with losses to Kindred and Maple Valley/Enderlin. Last year, Oak Grove was only able to beat Kidder County and MayPort-CG, and lost to Oakes 36-0 last season in Oakes.

Coverage from Fargo with Rich Voegeli starts at 6:30 on KDDR 1220 AM/95.9 FM and NewsDakota.com, with kick set for 7 p.m.
