JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) recently offered a new tool for residents to renew their motor vehicle tab.
Kiosks or Self Service Terminals (SST) are now operating in numerous locations across the state. The terminals are a fully automated motor vehicle registration renewal station that will dispense license plate renewal registration cards and motor vehicle tabs on the spot. A vehicle owner can navigate through the easy touch screen (voice assistance available) and will need an invoice number from your mailed invoice OR title number and plate number.
Once the payment has been submitted and the transaction is complete, the vehicle’s renewed registration card and tab are dispensed directly from the machine. The terminals will be available during regular business hours at the participating locations.
The SST allows vehicle owners to register their vehicle(s) up to 60 days prior to their expiration. Acceptable forms of payment are restricted to credit cards (American Express, Master Card, VISA, Discover, and pin-less Debit cards).
A kiosk has been installed inside Cashwise Foods in Jamestown at 410 10th St SE. It joins more than 50 other locations in North Dakota.
