BISMARCK, N.D. (NDANO) – The North Dakota Association of Nonprofit Organizations (NDANO) is asking the community to recognize nonprofit leaders and organizations through its three North Dakota Nonprofit Awards.

Nominations are due March 31.

“In the last year nonprofits went above and beyond to support communities during COVID-19 and the recovery process. NDANO is proud to recognize those who served our state beyond what was expected,” says Kara Geiger, NDANO president.

The Walt Odegaard Leadership Award is given to an individual who has made a difference by strengthening North Dakota and its nonprofit sector through his/her long-term commitment to leadership, volunteerism and/or philanthropy.

The Emerging Leader Award recognizes a nonprofit professional who has made a significant impact in strengthening the North Dakota nonprofit sector in a short amount of time. This award is presented to early- to mid-career leaders, generally those with less than 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector.

The Partnership Building Award is given to an organization that has demonstrated community leadership and built partnerships within the North Dakota nonprofit sector. Nonprofits, businesses, government agencies, and educational institutions are eligible for this award.

The nomination form is available at https://www.ndano.org or by calling 701-258-9101. Winners will be recognized during the Virtual Nonprofit Leadership Conference scheduled for May 26-27 and June 2-3.

NDANO is the statewide membership association for the North Dakota nonprofit sector. Its mission is to educate, advocate and connect to strengthen nonprofits.
