BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 2021 State Boys Swimming and Diving Championships were held on Saturday at the Bismarck Aquatic Center. Minot won its fourth straight state championship and 29th overall. They finished with 433 points, nearly twice as much as second place Fargo Davies who had 224.
The Jamestown Blue Jays finished in tenth place with 102 points. Scoring for Jamestown were: the 200 yard medley relay taking sixth with a time of 1:41.33 and scoring 26 team points. The relay team consisted of Noah Haglund, Bodi Haglund, Garret Wright and Teddy Solensky. Solensky was 14th in the 200 yard freestyle picking up three team points.
Bodi Haglund was 13th in the 200 Yard IM to gain four team points. Garrett Wright took fifth in the 100 yard butterfly to earn 14 team points. Teammate Alex Goodrie was 13th for four team points.
Teddy Solensky was 13th in the 500 yard freestyle to earn four points. The 200 yard freestyle team took 12th to score 10 team points. The team consisted of Brayden Schmeichel, Bodi Haglund, Alex Goodrie and Garrett Wright.
Noah Haglund was fourth in the 100 yard backstroke for 15 team points. Bodi Haglund earned 10 team points by placing seventh in the 100 yard breaststroke.
And the 400 yard freestyle relay team finished 12th picking up 10 more points. That team consisted of Schmeichel, Solensky, Goodrie and Noah Haglund.
Relay teams picked up 46 points for the Jays. Individual scorers, Bodi Haglund scored 16 points, Noah Haglund had 15 points, Garrett Wright had 14 points, Teddy Solensky had seven points, and Alex Goodrie had four points.
