JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Blue Jays girls basketball team traveled to Minot on Friday night and used a huge performance by Annie Nabwe to take down the Majettes 62-54.

Nabwe, a junior, finished with 27 points and 18 rebounds in the game. Jamestown held a 37-21 lead at the half, and Nabwe had already recorded a double-double going into the break.

Sophomore Ella Falk scored 15 points in the victory for the Blue Jays, also corraling five rebounds. Grace Hegerle contributed with nine points and six boards. Jamestown also got help off the bench from Breanna Oettle, who had four points and six rebounds.

The Blue Jays improve to 12-5 overall on the year and have won seven out of their last eight games. Jamestown is now 7-2 in road games as well. Bismarck Legacy comes to town on Tuesday night to take on the Jays inside Jerry Meyer Arena. The Blue Jays currently are in fourth place in the WDA, but take on two of the three teams in front of them next week. Jamestown will play 0-16 Williston on Friday before traveling to Watford City to face the Wolves who are in third.
