BISMARCK, N.D. (Prairie Public Radio) – The North Dakota House has decided it’s time.

Time to put the state on year round daylight savings time, that is.

Rolla Democratic Representative Marvin Nelson.

Some thought the bill’s time had not yet come, because Congress has to allow it. And Hampden Republican Representative Chuck Damschen says he would have preferred that the bill keep the state on standard time.

The measure passed 57 to 35 – and will now be considered in the Senate.
