VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Frost on trees this time of year is beautiful, but several foggy days with ice building up continue to accumulate on power lines in the region.

Valley City Electrical Supervisor Marshall Senf said residents are reporting brief outages or power bumps over the last few days. He said electrical crews continue to clear ice from power lines. Senf said sunshine and colder temperatures would really help clear those lines quickly.

Senf said the south side substation has a thicker layer of ice but continues to operate after so many days of ice build up in the area.
