VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jayda Kunze has been named the Farmers Union Wrestler Of The Week.

Jayda is a 7th grader and is a wrestler for Hi-Liners at 106 lbs.  

She is the daughter of Kory and Amanda Kunze and has one younger brother, Jentz and one older brother,  Espen who is the starting wrestler for the Hi-Liners at 145 lbs.

Jayda had a great week of wrestling.  She placed 3rd at the Central Cass Invitational girls tournament and picked up another win vs a boy this year by pinning Kaden Lende of Fargo South with a 2nd period pin via an inside cradle.

Jayda is an exceptional student athlete for the Hi-Liners. She is on the A-Honor Roll and was also a VCHS Student of the Month.

In addition to wrestling, Jayda also competes for the Hi-Liners in track and field.

 In her free time, Jayda likes painting and reading.  Her favorite class is English, her favorite food is spaghetti and her favorite video game is WWE 2K18.
Jayda’s most memorable wrestling moment was winning the Youth Girls State State Wrestling title in 2019.
