JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Fans of movies, comics, superheroes, satire, and art are encouraged to view the newest exhibit at the Jamestown Arts Center.
“Pop Cars” is the first full exhibit of art created by artist Mack Schroer. It started as just scribbles on a daily-log sheet in the oil-fields of North Dakota.
There, the seeds of “Pop Cars” was planted. Schroer says he began to think on how these characters appealed to our culture.
Schroer describes his art as a “comic, cartoon, television smorgasboard” and says the exhibit focuses on each character’s story.
He reflected on how important his first ever traveling exhibit was to him and his career as an independent artist.
Schroer adds that the creation of the exhibit is about as homegrown as you can get.
Schroer’s exhibit “Pop Cars” is available for viewing through March 6th at the Jamestown Arts Center. You can visit jamestownarts.com for more information.
