JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Building, Planning, and Zoning Committee received a presentation on the Jamestown Land Use and Transportation Plan (LUTP) Audit Thursday.

David Sweeney with SRF Consulting provided the latest information on the audit, giving a review of the comprehensive plan that was created five years ago.

Some improvements in the LUTP included the downtown Road Diet project, improvements in the downtown area and University of Jamestown. Other items included relocation of the Anne CArlsen Center and transportation issues in cooperation with the NDDOT.

Sweeney says one of the projects that would need to be looked at included Exit 257.

19 recommendations had been made in the LUTP, with six or seven completed over the past five years. Other areas addressed in the audit included water service and sewer utilities.
