JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The James River Humane Society continues to operate and find homes for cats and dogs in the area.

The non-profit, no kill shelter has continued to rely on donations of money or supplies to keep operations running smoothly amid the pandemic. Because fundraisers were limited in 2020, Board Member Jay Nitschke says they’re hoping their newest fundraiser will go over well.

Nitschke says you can place orders on jamesriverhumanesociety.org, which will then be delivered or available for pickup by March 21st.

Another part of the non-profit is the need for volunteers.

She says you can also stop in to the shelter and spend time with the animals. She says they’re grateful for their current volunteers and organizations who have helped them during this time.
