JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is warning residents of a new high risk registered sex offender that is residing within the city of Jamestown.

37 year-old Jason Shawn Gores currently resides at 1530 6th Avenue SW #37 in the Buffalo Motel. He is a white male, 5’10” and weighs 200 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair. He has been assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee.

Gores has been charged with Indecent Exposure when he exposed himself to a 12 year-old boy in Ramsey County in 1997. Gores has a long history of unadjudicated sexual offenses, has repeatedly failed treatment and has sexually re-offended while in residential treatment programs.

Gores is not currently wanted at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. This notification is meant for public safety only and should not increase fear in the community. Any attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten an offender will be turned over for prosecution.
