JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – An exclusivity agreement between the Spiritwood Energy Park Association (SEPA) and “Company X” will continue through May this year.

The extension of the agreement was approved by the SEPA board of directors in December 2020. JSDC Executive Director Connie Ova stated the original agreement was set to expire at the end of 2020.

She added that the soybean crushing plant by “Company X” and the commercial greenhouse by Houweling Tomatoes were both “moving along.”

Project Manager Rich Garmin gave a few more updates on “Company X” and their plans.

Rail logistics would be a discussion between DSA and “Company X”. The exclusivity agreement was approved to continue through May 1st, 2021. The agreement specifies that the energy park would only consider them for development of a soybean processing plant at the Spiritwood industrial park.
