JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department and City Fire Department personnel will be among other frontline workers able to receive the vaccination once it arrives in Jamestown.

Major Justin Blinsky reports that their department was notified by the North Dakota Department of Health that they would be included with the frontline workers as the first to receive the COVID-19 vaccination.

Major Blinsky says there’s been overwhelming support for the officers from members of the public.

He added that they’re currently discussing limitations and staggering COVID-19 vaccinations to properly plan for the distribution of the vaccination.

Fire Chief Jim Reuther says they are also included with the Police Department for COVID-19.

A schedule will be provided at centralvalleyhealth.org once they are finalized.
