JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Commission reorganized Tuesday morning to welcome in new commissioner Joan Morris.
Morris was elected to take one of the two open seats in the General Election. Board appointments and committee assignments were discussed. Mark Klose was once again nominated to be the Commission Chairman with Dennis Ova selected as the Vicechair.
Later discussion was held on the currently open Auditor/COO position within the county. Klose says they may need to lean on others to help with auditor duties as the end of the year approaches.
Klose says he believes the county has been operating as smoothly as possible considering the circumstances.
Interim Auditor Jessica Alonge says some other county auditors would be willing to conduct some training for the county.
She says she could touch base with the Auditors Association to see what training needs to be done to become an auditor.
