VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The city of Valley City is strongly encouraging residents to recycle their cardboard.
Mayor Dave Carlsrud said a number of residents are dumping it in the garbage. He said it cost more to place it in the landfill.

He said city and residents will save money by recycling their cardboard.

The city has one recycling center located on east main and is working on getting a second one on the north side of town.
