JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Downtown Association (JDA) is encouraging everyone to make the 2020 season brighter around the community.
Due to COVID-19, the JDA was unable to host their annual Holiday Dazzle Parade. JDA President Lynn Lambrecht stated with the latest restrictions, it wouldn’t have been safe to do so.
Because the Holiday Dazzle Parade was a big draw for Jamestown, she stated they still wanted to do something for the community to participate in.
Lambrecht says right away, they’ve had nearly 50 entrees submitted for the contest. Houses, neighborhoods, businesses, and stationary floats will all qualify. Once submitted, the address will be included on the tour map so families can safely drive by and enjoy the displays.
Lambrecht says businesses and public displays are also highly encouraged to participate.
Submissions will be accepted through December 17th. There will also be public voting for the top three displays in Jamestown. Once completed, Santa Claus will be doing a drive along and visiting some of the displays in the community.
