(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes High School volleyball team is gearing up for another season, with their first game set for the end of this week.
Oakes head coach Kathy Warren returns yet again to lead the Tornadoes, as she has since the program started in 1991. Last year saw Warren winning her 400th game as coach.
This year’s squad began practice last week, and will try to improve from last year’s opening round loss in the District 1 playoffs to North Sargent in five games after winning the first two games in the match.
The 2012 season offically kicks off with a home contest against the Kindred Vikings, with coverage on KDDR 1220-AM/95.9-FM and NewsDakota.com with Bruce Junker.
