BISMARCK, N.D. (Prairie Public) – More than 80 North Dakota doctors have written a letter, thanking Gov. Doug Burgurm his orders issued Friday for mask mandates, restricting crowds, and limiting restaurant hours and capacity.
The letter called it a “step to protect lives and livelihoods.” The doctors say taking these steps could mean a flattening of the curve within about four weeks. They said they know these restrictions mean significant sacrifices, but they say this will help keep healthcare providers and public health workers safe, and preserving the ability of those people to take care of their patients.
The restrictions are in effect until December 14th.
