CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Mayor Tom Erdmann says the decision to implement the temporary emergency measures to help slow the spread of COVID-19 came because of many factors.
During the latest city meeting, Erdmann says they were approached by the Foster County Board of Health.
Erdmann says cases in just the first two weeks of November will bring the COVID-19 cases in the county to all time highs.
Erdmann added he understands that masks have been a hot button issue, but that issuing a mandate would fall in line with what some other communities have done.
Erdmann says the orders are effective immediately, but anyone who has questions are encouraged to contact the city.
